Cadu Norinho
Cadu Norinho (he/they) is a visual artist whose work explores coexistence under the sign of ultra-velocity: the absence of pauses, silence, and fragmented narratives.
Through rituals, celebrations, and voids, they investigate our relationship with the whirlwind of images, sounds, and data surrounding us. Their work delves into disrupting the fast and immediate, real-time experience and its continuous dilution/restoration without intervals.
Cadu’s early works focused on themes deeply rooted in their journey, capturing life in the countryside. Currently, their practice reflects on the search for comfort and connection in a hyperstimulated environment, perpetually recombined with the promise of infinitude.
Through techniques such as oil painting and, metalinguistically, rotoscope animation, they construct visual narratives that challenge the need for pause, the value of silence, and the distance from the finite.
